Uncle Sam Wants YOU for U.S. Science

Are we losing what made America great?
A Debate on Science and America’s Future

"Given the many urgent scientific and technological challenges facing America and the rest of the world, the increasing need for accurate scientific information in political decision making, and the vital role scientific innovation plays in spurring economic growth and competitiveness, we call for public debates in which the U.S. presidential and congressional candidates share their views on the issues of The Environment, Health and Medicine, and Science and Technology Policy."

Thank you!

Thank you to all the scientists and science advocates who stopped by to say a little on tape about why the candidates for president ought to debate the grand science and engineering challenges.

Come tape your statement!

If you are attending the AAAS meeting in Vancouver come tape your answer to:

Why should the candidates for President (or Canadian Prime Minister!) attend a science debate?

and

Why should people care?

We are on West Level 2 near Room 208 and the West elevator for the rest of the afternoon (Fri 2/18/2012), and will be taping outside the UCS reception this evening at the Fairmont Waterfront, Malaspina Room, 6:30-8:30.

Tomorrow we'll likely be back at the Level 2 West Elevators but will send an update then if things change.
